KISS

This home/business had to be designed for both uses. The site is located in a hidden corner of a court and has limited street frontage, which faces north. This creates vast constraints to the open plan living, privacy open space and street identity. The design was to be a tamed contemporary design.

This is a very liveable family home combined with a business aspect. The solution is an interesting ÔUÕ-shape design which has rectified inherent problems associated with this shape, such as long passageways, confined courtyards and dead corner pockets.
