Wheelers Hill Project

Integrating an arc to the facade would connect the Main body of the house to the garage, and allow all bedrooms to face north. A north facing meals area opening onto a outdoor deck area, would also receive morning sun via a screened glazed breezeway while maintaining some privacy. A second main bedroom with 2 way powder room is attached to an ensuite on ground level to future proof the liveability for its aging owner. A small hidden away wet kitchen, along side the main was included for traditional cooking requirements.

Curving a feature honed concrete block work spandrel connects the North and East facing facade elements, and softens the street court appeal from between the 2 adjoining double garages. The result creates depth and interesting shadow lines to the layered second storey shroud. Matching façade elements increases the street presences from 3 exposed elevations, alluding to a much larger home.
